Photoshop Help!

So the other day I was on Photoshop C6 and I was trying to make my text curved (which I have successfully done a few times) and it wouldn’t work. Like I used the circle tool (or whatever it’s called) to make a circle than selected the text tool and clicked on the circle where I wanted the text to go and it didn’t work.

Anyone knows why or has encountered this issue? Or have any suggestions?

Did you choose another layer for the text? Did you text tool icon transform in another one with a little dotted curved line when you use it on the circle/ellipse? You can also use the warp text tool! (an icon with a T upon a curve in the text toolbar)

Wish I had a program to do curve text. Would make icons much prettier for me. :)
