As many of you know I've been suffering from and depression/anxiety for a while. Last night, my parents spoke to me about how they were worried about my internet usage and how Merlin is affecting my life (and us going overseas).

Jen suggested a while ago about leaving it for a while, and that it what I've decided to do. I'm still be around, but I won't be looking at any spoilers from now on. This will be tough as I really enjoy it, but I'm determined.

I have made a lot of friends and I will still be around, so you can always comment on my page or email me at miladyinpurple@gmail.com if you ever feel the need to talk. I will porbably not be on tumblr for a while. At least till this block of filming is over because that place is filled with spoilers.

I know that I have two people that I'm supporting with their Merlin BB's and I will still be there for you guys.I am also a co-mod over at ag_fics so I will still be helping run that.

*Hugs* I think that's a great idea. Sometimes it's necessary to take a step back. Escapism is wonderful, but it shouldn't control your life -- that's when it stops being escapism, and that isn't fair to you. I'm really proud of you for taking this step.

Thanks Jen! *hugs* I'm gonna find it hard not seeing the spoilers. I saw the ones posted last night as well. But I think it is necessary step that I need to take. I will now have the time to focus on other things too. I will just miss discussing and squeeling with you guys that is all. But when the show is on and I see it we can squee then.

LOL Probably around when Merlin is on in the UK which is why I'm trying to slowly step away from it now before then so I can cope with not being able to see it straight away. I've never been overseas and I want to be able to enjoy it.

I agree with Jenn, it's not fair to you if your escapism starts to control you and stepping back is a big step and a very brave one. I'm proud of you M and I know you will feel better after a little break. It's going to be hard, but it will be for the good and you'll enjoy Merlin 10x more when you come back to squee with us when the new Season starts. :) I'll miss you but I know this is what you need. *hugs*

That is the thing. I'm going overseas some time when it is on, but I would only miss like 4 or less episodes. But I will still be around later on. We might be going some time in Sept or Oct.

Millie, good for you making a decision that is best for you. I know it's not easy. I had to make a similar decision a while back and it can feel hard first at all, but then when you're enjoying life and everything, it gets simpler. And you feel right about your decision. So I'm glad you're doing something that's best for you. And you have my support with staying away from spoilers because I'm doing the same. Know that there are those of us right there with you.

Hugs, lots of support, have a wonderful trip when it's time for that and I'm very glad you'll still be around. You're one of the nicest people in this fandom.

mydoctortennant suggested this to me a while ago and it is mainly because of that that I decided to do it. Especially if I go overseas when some of the episodes are on, I will be missing it, or won't see it straight away. So yeah it was a tough decision, but one that I had to make.

Good, busy, but good. I'm just kind of waiting for the status of my job at the school because they're still doing budget cuts. But hopefully that will work out. I have tutoring as backup. And I'm writing a lot lately when I can which is fun. :)

I hope, and I truly think, that this will be a helpful step for you. Getting out and around, especially experiencing something as exciting as going overseas, trumps anything you can find on a computer.

Most things are fine in moderation-- except living life to the fullest, and a chance to do something like that should be hugely embraced, even if it's difficult to take that first step. You'll adjust, and I think you'll be happier for it. :)

Your'e right my life and happiness is more important. I'm finding it hard and it will be for a while but it is for the best I think.
