ICON MEME

- reply to this post with the words I'M SO GLAD YOU HAVE A ONE TRACK MIND LIKE ME and I will pick six of your icons.
- make a post (including this info) and talk about the icons I chose.
- other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
- this will create a never ending cycle of icon glee.

Icons chosed by the truly wonderful [livejournal.com profile] hmsharmony  (I love you bb!)

Icon 1:

This icon is made by the wonderfully talented [livejournal.com profile] sophielou21  (who made most of the icons chosen). Anyway the reasons why I love this icon is because I love how she has cropped the picture and I love the light at the bottom of the icon. also its from series 3 and its just exciting that Arthur and Gwen (along with the rest of the gang) are going on an adventure.

Icon 2:

Sorry I don't remember who made this icon but I love this one because its simple, I love the text and it captures that moment so wonderfully. I mean its A/G 's epic hug of epicness, you can't go wrong with it.

Icon 3:

Another one made by [livejournal.com profile] sophielou21 . I love this one because I love the repetition of the kiss. The lighting is also sooo pretty and makes it stand out along with the colouring I lvoe how the redness comes through.

Icon 4:

I love this icon (by [livejournal.com profile] llorona_llorona ) because it shows Gwen in her new pink/ peach dress and I love how the background looks blurred. I also love how Gwen's dress sort of flows at the back and of course I love the sleeves.

Icon 5:

Another one by Sophie (I love you bb!). I love this one because it shows Arthur being all "King"- like and with Exaculiar which is sooo befitting. I also love the colouring of Arthur's face and the effects she used.

Icon 6:

Yet again another icon by Sophie. I chose to have this icon because I love the rose in the background and the little kiss in the middle. I love the soft colours and the lightness of it.

Sorry my reasons for liking them are not that good. Was up all night watching the election and it was silly because all the votes have to be counted because it looks like we may have a hung government, which hasn't happened in a while.

Wonderful explanations, bb. And, based on the style, that second icon is [livejournal.com profile] sterni75's. *go off to check my icon collection* Yep, it is!

Ew for a hung government. Elections can be stressful! I'm quite nervous about what's going to happen to our Congress this November. Eep!

Thanks bb! And thanks for reminding me who did that one!

The good thing is that there are a few independents and a green's member that have won seats which I think is great. So if it turns out that neither Labor or the Liberal parties win they have to approach the independents to try and form a government. I don't really want John Abbott to be Prime Minister and I voted Labor (for Julia Gillard even though I'm not sure that I like her niether after what she did to Kevin Rudd, but she seems nice). LOL that probably doesn't make much sense because the way our government and elections run are sooo different. I can't even begin to undertsand how America's government works, let alone my own.

LOL! It's funny how one's own government always seems fairly straightforward and then you look at the rest of the world's civics and you feel your brain turn to mush. I'm guessing your government is styled after UK's right? I did some research on their government during the election so I kind of understand Australian government (just not the politics).

Basically the pendulum is swinging again and it looks like the Republicans have a chance of gaining seats and possibly control of Congress. Which, coupled with the control of the Supreme Court, is pretty much the second worst nightmare I can imagine (worse is a Republican as President). Blegh.

Yep thats exactly how I feel when I try to understand yours'.

I think ours is sort of like the UK's. I actually feel like researching how it all works because I'm sooo politically unaware and last night while watching all the shows, it interested me because there has never been a hung government while I've been alive.

LOL so I'm guessing you don't like Republicans. What are they the equalivant to here I wonder. I'm looking it up on wikipedia.

LOL I cant believe im actually talking about politics and im actually gonna research it. Wehne really I should be doing uni work.

Republicans = your Liberals, but worse because they're more on the right and thus don't believe in ANY social welfare. Well, not ALL of them. There are moderate republicans and conservative republicans. Unfortunately there seem to be more conservative than moderates. :-\ Now that I'm looking at your politics wiki, it's probably a combination of your Liberal and Family First party. Democrats (which I am) would probably be similar to your Labour party.

I ADORE discussing politics, so this is quite fun for me. =D

Ok- now I see that I wouldn't be voting for the Republicans if they are the combination of Family First and Liberal party. I would be by the sounds of it a Demcrats supporter in your country. I've never really liked the views that the Librarals have had and I prefer Labor over them. They are more about the workers and being fair. It's interesting because I was just researching Aus politics on wiki too and found that the ALP ws the predates the British Labor Part and the New Zealand Labor party. Also our parliament is largelly modelled on the Westminister tradition with some influence from the US Congress. It's interesting because we haven't had a hung parliament since the 1940's and it will be interesting to see which side the independents will chose. We know that the Green's tend to side with Labor. So in the next fews days no doubt Julia and John will be approaching all the independent that have seats and trying to get them to give them majority.

The worst part is that it could take a week for them to count, re-count all the votes. My sister actually was working 14 hours yesterday counting votes etc and she only had a 30 minute break.
