Hi guys,

Just a few reminders and questions:
 

•  kink meme is going strong, so please feel free to leave prompts or use any of the prompts there for inspiration.
• With the One-shot Challenge 1, you have till Wednesday 21st July 2001 to get your submissions in. However, we would like to ask you guys some questions about this challenge. Is two months too long or too short to get submissions in? How many of you are sure that you will participate in this challenge? Would you guys like to have another drabble challenge during this time?

Writer's Block: fanfiction

YES I love fanfiction. Obviously I do because if I didn't I would never have started a fanfiction community ag_fics. Now the reasons why I love fanfiction are they give people the opportunity to write about characters/ pairings they love and put them in situations they want them to be. 99% of the time I think I prefer what people have written to the show.

Many months ago I wasn't into fanfiction, never actually heard of it. Then I become totally and utterly addicted to Merlin and of course Arthur/Gwen and discovered many wonderful fics. The first one I read was To You, An Admirer by sophielou21 and I was totally and utterly hooked on it. I mean I was so far behind (I think when I started reading it there were already 25 or so chapters)but I was so totally absorbed in it I spend like 3 hours reading it. Her knowledge on the legend is incredible and the fact that when she started  writing it  before the A/G relationship hadn't really developed is amazing! Plus reading fanfiction is the only way that helps get you through the LONG hiatus before Merlin airs again.

At the moment though I'm really enjoying reading modern A/G fics because it great reading the same character set in modern times. My favourite modern serial fics I'm really enjoying are: One Morning on Wednesday by the wonderfully talented sophielou21 and No Emergency Exit by the lovely mydoctortennant.

I should stop procrastinating and actually finish my assigment LOL
