Help

Firstly, before you read the rest of this post, remember that yesterday I had a very stressful day with uni (I got upset while I was on placement at the centre, so I'm still feeling a bit down). so what I say next is just me expressing my feelings. So it's not very rational or will probably not make much sense. Which is why I need all the reassurance I can get.

I'm trying to take a hiatus from the Merlin fandom, however I find myself still checking C_L and its soooooooooooooo queit. I've been checking to see what

merlin_multis is like because a lot of members of C_L have joined there. It seems like a nice place. I saw the frinding meme and although a few people were saying that A/G didn't float there boat, there was no ship bashing. The thing I think that still upsets me is that its sooooooooooo quiet at C_L and I'm depressed about it. Now there is more activity elsewhere.

That's why I decided to step back from it because I've been visiting C_L everyday since I joined, excpet when I went away to my uncle and aunt's shack. I have an addiction and it has started to affect my emotional well-being and study life.

That being said, I will still be posting here on my journal and helping run

The thing is that I love about

camelot_love was that even though it was a A/G comm we got sooo much comments on episodes etc. Despite what happened (which to be honest I still don't know the full story), I'm still sad that things have turned out this way, that people have left. I'm afraid that not many people will comment on the episode discussions. The best part of Sunday morning (that's when I would get up to watch the episode online) was going on the episode discussion and seeing all the excited, funny comments people had made and joining in all the fun. I guess what I'm trying to say is that for people like me who had no idea what was happening, its tough and sad that people have left and that it may possibly affect the fun we have. This is my feelings on it anyway.

The other thing is that sometimes I feel like my friends on here are all I have. I don't have many friends anymore because the friends I do have are at different universities and I keep trying to contact them, but they never get back to be. I feel lonely. I was feeling like that before all this stuff happened at C_L, then the fallout occurred and that felt like a major blow. Especially now it is quiet, that makes me feel more lonely.

Anyway, I'm going to stop being soooo addicted to visiting the comms so much, but I need your help. I need people to make me laugh, and not feel so lonely despite what has happened.

So, please spam me with funny gifs, pictures, fun places to go to (I'm going overseas next year, so I would love to know what places to visit), music, youtube vids etc etc.... Merlin and Arthur/Gwen stuff is welcome!!!!!
ETA: To cheer me up I've decided to do a friending meme thing to get to know new friends/ old friends or make new friends.

Aww! I'm really sad this has affected you so badly. I check C_L periodically. Not as much as I used to, though. I realized that I love journaling too so that's filled the void a bit. You can still communicate with your friends this way. Sometimes it's good to take a step back. I've learned that it's easier to build relationships outside of comms. You learn a lot about people and about yourself and you find they have similar interests! Merlin Multis is fun as well but you don't get the concentrated A/Gness so its not quite the same. Change is sometimes a good thing.

I don't know much about what has happened, only that it's happened and there's nothing you or I can do about it. I know it's hard, but try not to get upset about it. It's out of your control. It'll eventually boil over. Some people may never come back and they have the right to their decisions. Just find ways to keep in touch!

This song always cheers me up when I'm sad. I hope it does the same for you!

I think that once things have settle down,maybe things will get better. The sad thing is I don't know if I can join merlin_multis at the moment. I just can't handle it atm with all the stress I have in my life. Plus I just wish things didn't have to change at C_L, but that's life I guess. I just hope that things will pick up once we get spoilers and the episodes start to air. I'm going to do more posts on my journal now to keep in touch with people who have left.

Like you said I just love C_L because of all the A/G love there. I love all the other characters but I liked the excitement that A/G provided us with.

I'm so sorry this is affecting you so much and that other things are piling up on you too. Unfortunately that's how it usually is, but you know what, always it seems when it's getting close to the breaking point, things start picking up. It's going to be okay. I know those are just words, but things will smooth out. When the season starts I bet you'll be excitedly watching it again. And the breaks are good too.

Hey on the RL front if it's okay. You want to teach? How cool! I've been working with kids since high school and I love it. Are you getting a chance to work with kids right now? They are the cure to the blues, trust me. They just don't let you be unhappy, lol. Even on my worst days, it lightens up when I'm around kids. You want to do preschool, right? I prefer elementary and lately I've gotten into special ed too which I'm loving. Just really, if you can be around kids...little cute kids, lol...even the little troublemakers you can get sometimes (nah, they're all great)...it just makes things better. You'll probably be so good at it because you have such a sensitive caring quality about you from what I've seen of your posts and everything.

Oh, where exactly are you going next year, if you don't mind me asking. Sounds like fun! You can definitely start planning it now in your head and everything...take your mind off other things.

Music: I love music. Katie Perry's good when you need something to boost you up. Anything with upbeat sounds and such. I like All American Rejects too...they can really fire you up. Oh and do you have any Glee songs? Oh they're so great!

Thank you soooo much for your comforting/ kind words. I think that I'm taking things sooo personally. That's why I decided to take a break.

At the moment, I'm studying to be a child care worker to work in child care centres (they're like nursury schools I think, lol it pretty much means I will be working with 0 - 5 year olds). I've been studying for three years (the course is two but I've had a few difficulties). My overall plan is to be a kindergarden teacher one day. But at the moment I love working with young children. I do placements but I don't get paid. I just want to start working in the industry. You're absolutely right, with everything that has happened going into the centre and spending time with the children has cheered me up.

Hand down to you for working with high school kids. I couldn't do it. I prefer the young ones lol!

Next year my parents and I are going to travel around Europe. I've never been outside Australia, so I'm looking forward to it. I just have to get my passport ready and my parents and I are saving money.

Oh no, I don't work with high school! Honestly the thought of working with high school kids terrifies me, lol. No, I meant, I've been doing this since high school, working with kids. I've always worked with ages 12 and below.

I took so many early childhood education classes in college. I remember going through those, lol, but most of them were okay. The classes are good, but it's actually working with the kids that just...is the best. Sounds like you're getting there with it...just keep going. You're going to be a great teacher.

I traveled to Europe when I was in the 4th grade. My dad was from Hungary so we went to go visit all my relatives there...really cool trip. Go to Venice if you can. Beautiful at night. And I loved the countryside in Germany. Austria is gorgeous and just...sweet. Oh and France...go visit Arthur's castle, lol.

After I told you about Katie Perry I can't get the Vegas song out of my mind, lol.

Don't stop believing! I love that song because it was by the band Journey and they were from the bay area around where I grew up. So that song's special and Glee covered it so well. You ship Rachel and Finn too, right? Love them. But Glee is so random that I love everyone on it practically, lol. Arthur and Gwen...don't stop believing...yeah.

I have watched so few vids. I love them usually...but I don't know of a lot. When I first got into this fandom though, I had to watch the You Tube vids of the BTS, like when Bradley, Angel and Colin were at the amusement park. Too funny! THE SCREAMALOT...gosh. I love Bradley.

My mum loved Venice, Austria and Germany when she went travelling three years ago with my sister (I have three by the way). So we will definity go to those places. I really want to go to France and see where they film the castle bits. Venice is also a big one for me as well as England and Ireland. LOL Everywhere to be honest.

Glee/ Merlin musical!!!LOL didn't they metnion something at that comic con in San Diego. I don't know what was said but I lvoe the thought of the Merlin cast singing. Arthur singing to Gwen, plus Angel can apparently sing.

I have to buy the dvd when Glee comes out because I haven't seen most of the season 1. I started watching it near the end of it.

I really liked the somebody to love one! That was great. Time to pull out the season 2 DVD's again...AG kisses, longing looks, Guinevere...time to go! Love that part.

Season 1 of Glee...I always think no Jesse because that changed the dynamic so much. I liked season 2 (well or part 2 it really is), but I think it was more angsty also. Season 1 was just fun.

C_L is my home. I don't want to leave. I love the A/G squee. this other ocmm seems cool, but I'm soo senstive when I read people don't like A/G or they like G/L because I just love A/G and don't like G/L. This is just how I am. I'm a very sensitive person. I will see how I go. It's just soooooooooo quiet at C_L and its sad. I might join once I feel better.

Talking about layouts I'm thinking of getting a new one, but haven't found one I truly love yet.

LOL last night I had a dream that there was a huge spider on my wall, I woked up and scream then I turned my lamp on and realised that I was just dreaming. It was scary for a moment though.

Never fun when that happens, though spiders don't bother me at all. I woke up and I'd managed to get my head inside my duvet, I'd been dreaming that I'd been kidnapped so i as like: OMGOMGOMG AHHHHHHH! Then realised i was inside my duvet XD

When things get overwhelming like that, it's good to get a bit of perspective elsewhere and it sounds like you have some fun things to look forward to! Researching places to go while travelling is one of my favourite things to do :)

Favourite place in the world Hrmmm. Too many to list, really. Topping it would be my bff's neighbourhood back in Canada, my dad's apartment, my godmother's home in Oxford, Covent Garden and the steps of St Martin's in the Field's in London.
One (or more) tv show/ movie/ book I would recommend the recent Sherlock on BBC was fantastic. And Supernatural is my biggest boo. Doctor Who is always good for a laugh, and Pushing Daisies is like a constant hug with pretty people and colours and songs. As for movies, I love me some Jurassic Park, Shaun of the Dead always throws me into fits of giggles, and Love Actually never fails to make me smile. Books, pretty much anything by Neil Gaiman or Gregory McGuire. I'm just starting to get into Terry Pratchett's stuff, but he's super entertaining as well.

Most embarassing moment Oh, goodness. Probably this past January when I attended my CAP (Communication Arts Program, aka the program I attended in high school) reunion/panel. We had to give a speech telling the younger CAP kiddies and their parents about our experiences since leaving high school and how college compared to the program, etc., and I ended up rambling for a good three or so minutes saying basically the same thing (which, in effect, was NOTHING). I just wanted to hide my face after I was done (which was unfortunate seeing as I was sitting on a stage). Losing my voice the day of the musical and having to speak all of my songs into a microphone rates up there, too.

Bones is most certainly going to be the show I watch when it returns on tv. I think they still show repeats here but I haven't watch it because I'm always watching something else.

Dark forest is understandable. I would be scared if I like got lost in a forest.

Erm, I can sing if no one's listening to me other than my bff. I just happened to get a part that was in my (very narrow) vocal range. Otherwise I stay far, far away from all things musical-on-stage. ;-)

LOL you could probably sing better than me! I sing only when I'm looking after children. That's the most I do. Or when I'm in the car then I sing and annoy whoever is in their with me.

How's you trip going and your french?

Trip's going well! French...eh, not so much. I understood several signs in the Métro as well as around the city, and half of an announcement. I also had a VERY short conversation with a waitress which consisted of "Are you finished?" "Yes, I am." So, you know, it's something (...sort of). XD

Well in my opinion you're doing better than I would. I don't know a single french word. I'm not very good with languages. I did Italian, Spainsh, Japanese throughout my school years, but the only words I remember are Italian words, like hello, how are you and I can count. That's it. My mum learnt Italian because her mother was from there. So if I go to Italy (which we will hopefully), luckily I have my mum who will be able to speak the language.

Most embarassing moment Whoa, too many. Most? When I was in high school I liked this guy a lot. We attended a youth group together. I had it in my head that he liked my older sister...who liked him just as a friend...so anyway I dressed up just to impress and guess what they decided to do that night at youth group? Play nutty crazy chasing games. I get picked. I start running. I fall about two or three times because I have the most slippery shoes on, scrape my new jeans and...feel like a fool. I found out that night though that he liked me too...hee.

Favourite food pizza

Favourite place in the world Monterey, CA...every time I go there I'm just so relaxed and happy. Close second was the place where my dad grew up. On a farm, all the stars, the warm quilts on the bed...it just felt like home.

TV show: X files. Oh, I loved that show! Had the supernatural aspect, wacky aspect, alien aspect and...most of all it had heart. You cared so much about the characters.
Movie: Leap Year, have you seen it? It has Mathew Goode and I love him and Amy McAdams and she's great too...it's just a nice feel good movie I think. Kind of an old fashioned, with a twist, romance. And I love those kinds of movies. One more, The Lakehouse. It's a surreal romance with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves who I think are amazing in it...plus Keanu is so understatedly sexy in that movie.
There is this cool romantic novel called The Royal Treatment by maryJanice Davidson. It deals with Alaska being a country and this woman meets the king, who's really laid back. He wants her to marry his son even though she's not sure about it. They meet and...I don't know if it's love at first sight, but uh...yeah it builds. There are a lot of penguins, some hot romantic scenes, a whole bunch of humor, and it's actually very sweet in many ways too. Really good read and it's cool because it has that royalty thing to it so it does a bit mirror Arwen.
