Day Four of UK trip: Inverness!

We arrived in Inverness on Thursday afternoon, but didn’t do much as we were tired, we just got supplies as we are staying in an apartment.

Yesterday, we visited Eilean Donan Castle which was the stronghold for the Clan MacKenzie and their allies Clan Macrae. It was partly destroyed in 1719 due to their involvement in the Jacobite rebellion. It such a beautiful spot as it is situated by three lochs.






We also went to Loch Ness and may have found the Loch Ness monster 😁






The drive through the Scottish highlands was beautiful.

Overall it was a great day!

More amazing pictures! Being there at Inverness would most assuredly render me speechless for several minutes as I stared in awe and imagined the inhabitants trying desperately to fend off the Jacobites.

Lol the clouds would drift so there would be pockets of blue sky but it was definitely a bit cool!

What's the weather been like? I've heard from family friends that it rains like 99% of the time, so I'm curious to know how true that is XD

I know! It’s so beautiful!

The weather hasn’t been too bad actually. It rained a bit the other day, but other than that it’s been between 14-19C. At times it’s also been quite sunny too :)
